Chris Thao Trinh is a Vietnamese-American photojournalist and multimedia reporter. Their work focuses on migration, queer identity, human-nature relationships and how climate change and colonialism impact communities of the global majority.
Their photos have been published in The Guardian, Vice, Grist and elsewhere.
They have also photographed for various mutual aid, humanitarian and environmental justice organizations, including Indigenous Environmental Network, Najda Now International, Misr El Kheir Foundation and Stay Grounded.
Chris holds a Diploma in Visual Journalism from the Ateneo de Manila University and is a member of Women Photograph. They are also a signatory to the Photo Bill of Rights.
Based between Hanoi, Vietnam and Beirut, Lebanon, Chris splits their time between Southeast Asia and the Mediterranean Basin. They are conversational in English, Spanish and Arabic and available for assignments worldwide.
