Chris Thao Trinh is a Vietnamese-American photojournalist whose work focuses on migration, queer identity and how climate change and colonialism impact communities of the global majority.

Their photos have been published by The Guardian, Vice, Getty Images, El País, Grist, Bloomberg, Neue Zürcher Zeitung and USA Today, among others. 

They have also photographed for various mutual aid, humanitarian and environmental justice organizations, including Indigenous Environmental Network, Luminos Fund, UN Women and Stay Grounded.

Chris holds a Diploma in Visual Journalism from Ateneo de Manila University and is a member of Diversify Photo and Women Photograph. They are also a signatory to the Photo Bill of Rights

Based in Hanoi, Vietnam, Chris is available for assignments in Southeast Asia, the Pacific, and the Mediterranean Basin. Chris has an ongoing personal project in Guåhan (Guam) and previously lived in Beirut, Lebanon, spending many years focused on the SWANA region.
